Gosh,Dinu, you and Evert come up with the most unusual fun flowers , there is so much diversity in this world. Do you raise mostly from seed or nursery plants? Is gardening a common pasttime there in India?

Lenjo, Gardening is a favourite pastime here in India esp. to those who have some space to place some pots or some open ground. These days, the residential localities are very crowded and every inch of space counts. I've been lucky enough to have some open space around the house where I do the gardening, thanks to my great grandfather who built it in 1911 and we are able to retain it in the way it was. Perhaps the availability of space also has contributed to my interest. I do both -- buy the plants as well raise it from seed. The latter, I find is more challenging.

Bad news :( This plant has died. Probably it got old enough to die? I pruned the dry-looking branches and it never revovered. The scent from the leaves were beautiful. Now I have to miss it. Have to look for another at the same nursery on my next visit.
