Gloria,
How big is that one? I love them when they get huge!
Do you put anything under the pine straw to keep the weeds out?

Glory...its alocasia Macrorrhiza ...called Giant upright taro too! :-) (I have a bunch of these in pots and in the ground.)I love em

Kyle, I love it too...have no idea where it came from. I do know it puts on a lot of little ones.

Connie,
No, I don't put any thing under the pine straw...just lots of it. If something happens to pop up I just pull it out or get out the Roundup. I really like the pine straw better then the Cypress Mulch and it's free here.

Glory, those are awesome! We rarely see the uprights around here, or just as houseplants or annuals. Very cool!

Badseed,
They freeze to the ground in the winter but return in the spring...I really do like them.

It makes a beautiful statement in your garden!

We have to bring our ears in for the winter. If you decide to get rid of some of the babies, please keep me in mind. I'll try to come up with something special to trade you. :)
