Beautiful coloring on the caladium. BTW, Brent and Beckys Bulbs is a family owned nursery. They have just about every conceivable bulb you can imagine. I have ordered many times from them and have always been very pleased:~)
Cool one Kyle. Did you park this one in the sun too?
Shirley1, Brent the owner is evaluating a new canna of mine for future introduction......He came out to the house here when he was in Des Moines to teach a seminar..he had even heard about some of my plants.Word gets around I guess!
:-)
Oh My Gosh! I didn't realize that I was talking with a "hybridizer"! That is sooo neat! You must really be thrilled!! What will you name the new canna? Please let me know if he decides to add it to his cataloge. I would definitely be interested! Boy, and to think we knew you when....Is this the first of your plants that he evaluated or is it one of many? I'm really impressed!!!!!
Shirley, Kyle is one of our resident famous brug hybridizers and he does canna and many other things I'm certain.
Kyle, it's a good thing that Brent and Beckys aren't selling summer bulbs until January, I'd have to sell the house! great selection there.
It's truely amazing the things you learn in Dave's Garden!
Shirley1..its called "Black Dragon" dark bronze foliage and large self cleanin rose red flowers on big spikes.Multiplies quickly.I can post some pics.
tiG..I have this plant in a half sun location.
If you have more pictures I would love to see them! Thanks:~)
