Wow. Those Brugs are beautiful. I'd think I died and went to heaven if I had a Brug with that many flowers at one time.

Great Pictures Kell.

Kell..did you know that CG was hybridized by a grower in the SF bay area years ago and named for a landscape architect named Charles Grimaldi (now deceased)..the hybridizer 's name is Bartley Swartz

Kell,I simply cannot believe that the locals think these are messy. They think they drop too many blooms? They must be beauty deprived.

Liz... if u lived in a neighborhood filled with at least 5 brug trees on each yard, u probably would think the same. the photos Kelley have been posting is the normal thing in the northern Ca. area. i know, i see them during the holiday season when i visit my son in Menlo Park. the evening air is heavenly! that is where i 1st saw the numerous flowers and smelled the brugs perfumes the evening air. in joining DG is where i learned about them. am beginning to get the addiction everyone here have LOL. am glad i got a few started, thanks to everyone here that shared some rooted cuttings with me. i do not have any blooms yet, hopefully soon?

Isn't Hespia where VH growing green houses are???

Eclipse, I had it wrong, I thought Charles Grimaldi was the hybridizer. In a nursery down in Half Moon Bay right by the Pacific Ocean, they had a CG that must have been 25 feet tall. It was truly amazing! It was growing under a huge tree. I would go down and visit it every year. Then one year I hit it right and they had rooted cutting of it in 5 gallons pots. I bought one and planted it in my front garden. Just my luck, that was the year of the big freeze and not only did mine die, but so did that one at the nursery. I went to visit later and was so sad to hear it was no more.

Kelley, i do not know what VH meant, but as far as green houses are concerned, i do not know of any around here. all one can see is bare desert land for miles and miles.
