growing in the hood!
Kell, maybe you should do seed pod searches on these trees. somehow i'm gonna manage to overwinter some to have some big ones next year. these make mine feel awfully puny.
Ok, I hate to sound stupid but this is my first time growing brugs. I thought you have only one "trunk" or stem. Do I see lots of stems on this brug? I am growing 2 in pots & one in the ground. I keep seeing little sprouts coming up on the stem under the soil. I have pulled some off. Some are lower under the soil and hard to pull away. should I leave them growing? How often should I give them bloom booster that is 30- 30- 30- ?? they have just {Y} ed.

Lizh,
Monika posted something about the bloom booster some time ago and I don't know if it was on one of her threads or another, but seems like she said it is NOT good to use it often. Maybe a new thread with that question would get you some good answers. Wish I could help, but I only use it two or three times in a growing season and I don't know if that is right or wrong. Hope you get an answer.
Kell, we can only wish for brugs like the ones from the hood, here in Iowa.
30-30-30 isn't considered bloom booster is it? i thought bloom booster had a high middle number, phosphorous, which a lot of soils have plenty of already. i think it is more a matter of paying for something you don't need rather than it harming something if my brain is working. i buy it at whim cause i know when planting stuff super phosphate is supposed to be good and it seems easier to get bloom booster.
now if this is wrong, please tell me.

Beats me Arlene.....another question for someone who knows more than I do. I'm beginning to think I have old timers disease. Can't remember anything anymore.
We are twins Brugie, soon I will forget I know you!!
Monika mentioned in some thread she uses the fertilizer combination 16-2-22. sorry i forgot where she posted this info.
Thanks all of you. I will try to find Monika's tread about the fertlizer.About the suckers, should I pull them off?
pretty
Kell are these from your yard, maybe I do need to make a visit and give you a shot....... Now just rest when you wake up it will be all better in Missouri,.... I mean you will be all better
WOW! Pretty!
What fertilizer do you use? I have always used 15-30-15, or 10-60-10. They always bloomed well. This last summer, used 20-20-20, had no blooms......
Kell, looking at the size of the trunks, how old is this brug?
Stunning Kell! They are so full and thick with leaves and blooms.
