WOW brugs in the hood!
Kell,
So is this in your yard? It is a real beauty.
I wish Glory........no, I took a drive around my neighborhood (the hood!) and took some pictures! I thought you all might enjoy seeing brugs in NO Ca that are in the ground year round and probably not fed or watered much!
Wow! This is yours???? I think we better start planning a trip to kell's house.
Boy, talk about jealous.....I'm there now. That is a gorgeous tree. Wish it was in your yard, for you.
wow!!!!!!!!!!!
Speechless!!!
Kell, beautiful. the good news is this----- If they can do it so can you!!! Someday yours will look like this and your sanguinea.
I love it and keep wondering how big a GH I have to build to have one just like it...LOL
cc, You want to build a BIG one. My 12 x 20 wasn't near big enough or high enough last year and I had no room in it to plant anything else so my gardens are really lacking flowers this year.
OOPPSSS Mine that going up is only 10x20,jeesh,don't think Chuck will let me put up another this year....
cc, If you don't have a lot of other plants going in there that should do fine. I usually plant lots of trays of annuals for all my gardens and veggies I also start in the GH. Not this year. Over 60 Brugs in the GH completely took it over.
Awesome!
Thats great, looking forward to getting mine to that size
Oh sure Pete. Rub it in. LOL
Beautiful tree....makes me wish I lived in southern CA:)
And what is really funny about this one, is that the part you are seeing is the part that is growing over the fence into the neighbor's yard. The neighbor has just gravel, no plantings what so ever, and this huge tree hanging over blooming its litttle heart out. The side of the fence it is has its roots on, they had a dog and I dared not go in for a picture.
Oh my!!! That is the most beautiful picture I have ever seen! What I wouldn't give to be able to grow one like that! I'm turning green here, and that's not a good color on me. LOL
I just showed this pic to DH. He looked at it, then asked what it was. When I told him it was a brug, he looked at me like...."and you want these to live in the house with us, and you have how many?" LOL! (I think he's looking for something to use for a straightjacket right now) This is our first year with brugs, all ours are two feet or under yet, but I think he's starting to worry about the size of my new "winter houseplants".
That is gorgeous!
Kell I have never seen one this big, it just amazes me.
Their are at least 10 flowers behind each 1 flower you see. The flowers go in linear lines. This particular brug is very fragrant, this is the most odiferous plant (and most floriferous) I have ever been near. Enough to knock you into the next county. I wish I could take an odorture of it for you all!

Oh, if we only had scratch and sniff puters.
Kell what kind is it?
I just saw that I had left Monika "SPEECHLESS" and was so thrilled until I remembered I had not grown this brug! LOL
Windsurfer, I learned on Daves the highly technical name for it and I was so happy to pick up so quickly these difficult names. The brug growers in the know here call it Double Stuffed White. Here you buy it and the tag just says Double White.
Absolutely stunning !
Thanks Kell.
someday....
I love it! Thanks for the winter pick me up! I so need to move back to CA. I lived there about 11 years ago.
Go figure I wasn't really into gardening then! RATS.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to have that kind of weather and grow brugs that big and full!
If i ever go to in CA again, I'm coming to tour your hood.
Looks like a great place!
Talk about one very impressive Brug! Double WOW!!
wow, what a hood! I want to live there! It is beautiful.
