Or two, actually, hardy in zone 5. My DD's MIL had one, but it died and DD would like to get her one, but doesn't have $50 to spend on one. I have a pond at the bottom of the old orchard that the heifers drink out of that would look great with a few lilies to decorate the duck weed. I have a lot of non-pond things, some heirloom flowers, lotsa roses, if anyone could help me out, I would be most appreciative!
Thanks, Kathleen
I need a waterlily . . .
I can help you if you still need it. I have yellow, red, pink, white and changeable. LMK what colors you want and addy and I will send. Lani
Ponditis...I am so glad you came to rescue Kathleen...I was wondering if anyone would ever offer her one! You are one of a kind! I would have offered but I only have two myself!
You will be blessed!
Rebecca
if I hadn't just thinned out so much, I would gladly have offered.
Kathleen,
I don't know if the Tina I have will live in your area during the winter....it's a tropical lily.
Thanks for the loving message, Rebecca. I just saw this post but I have lots of named waterlilies in my big pond. I also have starts in buckets ready to go now for things like this. Now all I need is for Kathleen to contact me and we will be ok. I think maybe she is busy today. Lani
LOL, Lani, busy watching thunderstorms blow through and cleaning for the visit of the happy wanderers.
The weather seems to have cleared today, and I'm as ready as I'll ever be, so I can pay attention to my threads!
I would love to have any of these, and to be honest, I have been contacted by 2 other people privately and have those trades pretty much settled. I think for now, I'll say thank you very much and see what happens with the others. I've never even considered waterlilies before, having all the ponds populated by cows and heifers. Can I contact you later if I make a mess of what I've got going now?
You are indeed a sweety. I hope your knees are still holding up and giving you a great summer.
Kathleen
Good thing that the thunderstorms have gone through there. I hate thunderstorms since they start so many fires. Why just last week one bolt of lightening that I saw hit a transformer box near a friends house and started about 50 acres on fire.
I would be glad to offer you some water lilies later if you want them. It is just right now I have some in buckets that are ready to go. I'll just plant them into pots and get them back into the pond now.
The knees are working just fine now. I just can't get down onto them to weed the flower beds so we are starting to make all our beds as raised ones. That will just mean more water will have to be used since they drain easier and with sandy soil and high desert drainage is not a problem for me. giggle
Thanks for asking about my new knees. I would definately do it again the same way if I had to do it again. Got both replaced at one time without having to face the hospital stay and therapy again.
Good luck with your trades. Lani
