another question

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Do hybrid aureas that have the predominantly aurea features produce aurea types or do they throw back to some of their original other crosses? And if one of the aureas used in the cross is gold coloured and the other is cream, will the offspring be cream? I think I need a pink aurea, a REALLY pink aurea.

Liz,

Maybe Brugman, Monika and Kyle can answer this question better then me but all my Aurea Gold hybrids have some of the Aurea traits.

Only one pure pink aurea is known - Rothkirch. Rosa Kornett is a cultivar. Crossing golden to cream might be 50/50, but its no guarantee. The golden aurea should be the mother plant for a higher percentage of golden colored offspring.
