Bert and Ernie's pod

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Bert seems to have a whole bunch of aurea in him, Ernie, brugcrazy's baby seems to have something special. Wonderful heart shaped lobes between the peaks. This pod was crossed in early March - for an aurea-something it has a little fillip at the end??

oh I love the heart shape!!!!! what are you using as tags to mark your crosses? looks like it wouldn't stand out much

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Very pretty flower. You're making some good crosses. Next year should be very interesting.

Bit of versicolor in that one to it appears. Then again, I'm not so sure after seeing your other picture.

To tell you the truth - with all my brugs, I have never had a non-sang pod that I kept. Maybe because I wasn't 100% sure of the parentage.

tiG- haven't I sent you anything? Shame on me!That's my cut-up Ziplock bag thing.

For an aurea?? cross - is the little curlicue at the end of the pod supposed to be there?

Liz,
Your pod looks an awful lot like the one on page 26 in the Brug book....the Aurea pod.

OH NO, Liz, I can't find my book! You drive me wild with your pictures!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Kell, the book is in the reading room.

Liz, maybe or resident brug expert will be by to help us with this one. I'd trust Monika's judgement any day over my wild hair brained guesses.

Well Brugmansia.....you could ask me!

I like the view over the lake. LOL ... and also that nice looking, fat pod on Bert. I hope that is what the pods will look like in the aurea Ludger brought. The flowers were pollinated with Maja and Hofwil (I think it is).

That's part of the Pacific Ocean Tonny - salt water. Sometimes hard on plants.

That was exactly what I meant, Liz: I love the view over the Pacific Ocean. LOL LOL :-) I must be so nice just to walk a few steps to take a cooling swim when its too hot for anything else.

When Ludger was here he told that some of the leaf damage I had also was caused by salt in the wind. However, we are 4 kilometers from the "Ocean" The Eastern Sea (Östersee).

i guess you don't go surfing?

Liz, you named my beautiful white multi hybrid Ernie, shame on you. LOL

I'm still trying to get over the same sex marriage. but then again, i guess that's the way brugs work, like isabella X butterfly.
very cute names
