Thomas isn't suffering anymore.

I had Thomas, our 6-7 year old pet tom turkey put down this morning. His feet had gotten in terrible condition and he couldn't even stand up very well. When he sat down he couldn't get his legs under his body like he should have. We had given him children's suspenion tylenol and motrin in his water for a long time but he got to the point that if he tasted it he would refuse to drink the water. Of course if there wasn't enough to taste there wasn't enough to do him much if any good. We tried putting it in his beak with an eye dropper but he just let it run back out. We'll really miss the old man. We had had him since he was just a few days old. He followed us around like a puppy and would talk to us constantly. Anytime he heard our voices, we got up in the night, or a loud noise on the TV he would gobble. It was really past time to do this and I didn't even cry because now he won't hurt anymore.
