Almost finished!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Okay, here is another strip of pictures. I have really worked my butt off. The older girls have helped with the little ones and we have taken a few swims in between working. LOL Figuring total expenses:$30 for a pool liner (best I could do right now), $40 on fish and a water hyacinth-which is now 6 plants, $8 on two daylilies 1/2 price, and $3 bucks on three perennials in the 99 cent bin. Mercy purchases on all the plants. Water plants were donated by Mystic, Vic and GV. I guess I have about two weeks total time involved. Anyway, here we are today. Pics were taken from the deck above, right to left, and the final picture is from the back yard. Still not done, but darn close. Constructive criticism will be accepted. giggle

Wonderful to see at this stage. You did good, lady. I just wish I had the ambition and energy to dig my own new pond that I want to build but alas I don't yet. Hope mine turns out pretty too. Thanks for the pictures. Lani

Chele I was not prepared for such a surprise. What a great job!! YOU IS THE MAN!!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

constructive criticism?? you worked way too hard! I can't believe you did all this in two weeks. it's really amazing, especially considering how many little ones you have running (or not) around!

Good news! It appears I did not have an algae problem or at least it was not out of control. I think it was dirt settling from a good rain and me tromping through with rocks. Of course the blue liner plays games with the color of the water. The deeper water is still murky, but I saw all the fish this morning and the water is nice and clear. :)

good! cause I couldn't find my algaefix. You need to go to Dollar General or something like that and get 3 black oil pans for the lilies. wide is the key, not deep and those are perfect. make sure you don't plant the crown below soil level, and feed them now. One has a bud or two on it. Hope you can use what I sent and that it all makes it fine. if you have questions when they get there, ask! didn't mark anything except the one named waterlily. love you

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

tiG, my love, are you saying you mailed them already??? I am hoping if you mailed on Saturday, that they will arrive tomorrow. Now, that would be cool! I cannot wait to see what you sent and get it all potted. I am counting down! Cala and crew will be here in less than a week. AAAaccck! I gave up on getting everything done. Hope they realize seven people live here and six of them need me for everything! LOL Guess they will see weeds and some amount of filfth, but so be it. Hubby is now working weekends on top of his regular job and I am pulling my hair out seven days a week. Giggle. I will let you know when the box arrives. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. Love you too and thanks beyond words. :)

yes, they went out yesterday. your lilies will be blooming if you get the oil pans, jobes and don't plant the crown below soil line. Do you know not to use amended soil? do you have a place where you can dig straight old dirt?? you might put the lilies in at an angle, with the cut side of the tuber up against the side of the pan. if you get Jobes houseplant spikes, use two a month. ask vic if you use the tree spikes (was it vic?)
I had to do creative packaging with the taller things, I hope they make it okay, you might have to cut them back, I hope not. I didn't have time to put in a note, the top thing is a water canna, but it's been out for a while, introduce it slowly, like half the pot in water or so.
here for you, can't wait to see what it looks like at the summers end, you have outdone yourself!!!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh tiG!! The box came today! I sent you an email and posted in mail call. Sure don't want you to miss how excited I am! LOL Everything looks great and I am headed out soon to pot them up. Thank you so much!!! My little water garden will be busting full of plants in no time at all!!! Thanks a bunch! Love you!!!!!
