left to right--Forrestville 1st day, Forrestville open, Orange blush with full flower and 1st day flower.
compare Forrestville with Orange Blush
The whiskers for one thing is very different. It look like both Forrestville and Orange blush has versicolor genes (both the tubes and Orange Blush`s whiskers) in them together with maybe suaveolens. However, Forrestville has more of a suaveolens shape whereas Orange blush has a shape closer to x insignis (the forwards bended whiskers).
"Pass the smelling salts..I just fainted"....I can not get over how totally awesome these pics are with the lighting and background!!!!!Oh and the brugs are nice too! LOL
Really I think all brug pics should look like these for comparison for future reference.Great Job Barb!
Yyyyess! Finally I found this post. When Morning Sun and Midday Sun start to put on some color I like to compare to these two, because they are very much of the same types. Midday Sun resembles Orange Blush a little. Both are yellow with a slight blush between the lobes. Couldn`t it be fun, if similar looking Brugs can be crossed and crossed with each other over and over, so we could have Brug types, that came true from seeds?
Another one for the must have list.
Tonny a few species types do come true from seeds..like the wild form of white suaveolens, and the sanquineas do come true.
Awesome Barb. You take the most beautiful photos. Beautiful.
Thank you--Some times it takes shooting 50 or more shots to get one good photo. Photographing the blooms give me great pleasure.
Yes the picture and the brugs are great. Bward, so do you have a large card on your digital? I have to figure out how to get more than my 32 shots. How many pictures can you take without dwonloading? I must figure out how to take a lot more esp when I go on the road.
thanks
Kell, buy a larger card. There are 250 shots on the card I use. Card is not cheap!!! But it is worth not having to download so often. Also got a portable battery pack that give several hours of power.
