Simple White Hibiscus

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Sometimes simple is very appealing to me. This is a small all white flower.

Eclipse . . I wish you still had the pink one also. I sure would have to find something to trade you. Thanks for giving me the name of this one. As usual there was no labeling on the pot except white, single.

Bitty . . tell me how to get the seeds and I will send them to you.

Frannie,
That is so pretty. Here is a little info on Tropical Hibiscus seeds.

This sounds like something I'd like to do...hybridizing T. Hibiscus.

Frannie, your hibiscus is very pretty. I'm just now getting excited about growing them, thanks to Kyle. Great photo.

This is listed in a book naming "Hibiscus La France" (this is in pink as well). I have the same variety. See http://plantsdatabase.com/go/47819/ Listed here under "Swan Lake". Cuttings take root easily. I have not seen its seeds.

Brugnanny....is this the hibiscus with the very delicate foliage...? different from the the big leaved ones? Elaine

Frannie,
Would you start me a cutting too....Please!!!!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh Gloria . . I can't believe it - - you don't have this one. I will go out this evening and start a cutting for you and I am so happy to be able to do so!!

Frannie,
Thanks so much.

I haven't seen any flower go to seed. For that matter, many of the Hibiscus here, but rarely. Cuttings work well. Some say that the exposed top part of the cut wood should be covered with some plastic to prevent infection.

I had one seed pod form last year but I picked it a little to soon. :(
