this is the other end of the fence showing part of the fence with datura inoxia variegata and reg inoxia plants along the front walk..
Tropic beds with datura inoxias
OMG.....those datura would be beautiful if they never bloomed. Is that the Lantana you gave me earlier this year? Just beautiful.
Brugie..no you got Greg Grant lantana this one is called confetti..its a tree form about 4 feet tall. The daturas have been blooming..but inoxia blooms in the plant not on top like others..
Didn't know that about the datura. Beautiful pictures.
Brugie..your turn to come up and look! :-)
I'll do that one day before the summer comes to a halt. Think we have a couple months or so yet if we are lucky.
Okay! :-)
I like the growth pattern of this datura, and I didn't know that it bloomed inside either. love this corner too.
Eclipse, your gardens are beautiful. It would scare me to think what you could do down here...*grin*--well, not scare me ...but boy..you sure could go nuts planting :-)
Did you start your datura from seeds indoors, or how big were they when you set them out this Spring? I got some in a trade. They aren't very big yet. I'm hoping to overwinter them.
KathyJo I started them in a greenhouse at work about the end of march.......
Will you do the same next year? or try to keep any of these over the winter?
KathyJo...I'll only keep over a plant or two of the variegata types..for cuttings.the rest I will start from seeds next year. :-)
I thought I read that the vareigata won't set seed,or won't have variegated seedling.....or did I misunderstand?
CC...thats right..variegated plants will usually throw pure albino seedlings..then they will all die..no Chlorophyl. :-)
Eclipse, The two plants I have are small. Do you think they would make it through the winter with the right conditions?
Kyle,
Very pretty!!!
Kathy Jo they should...easy on the water indoors though and keep the temps down.
Thanks.
Look so nice!
Very beautiful. I see a lot of work that was put into your yard and well worth it.
