Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Ditto.

OMG...Kelley we could make furniture out of this trunk....and you want us to think you don't know how to grow Brugs....right. :0)

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

You're killing me here Kell! I've never seen anything like it.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

too bad it is so ugly!

FSH, TX

You mean the flowers on this hybrid are ugly? Why grow an ugly one when there are so many beautiful ones to pick from?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Eric, the flowers on this one are beautiful. Kell was referring to the ugly trunk on it. Have to say that I agree, that trunk is not something you would want to look at all the time, but with such a huge plant and all those blooms, I'm afraid I wouldn't even be looking at the trunk.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes Brugie............... the trunk is ugly not the plant, but the branches sprout right from the bottom so you do not see the trunk. I got my kid to get down and break some off to take the picture. I am too old to get down there esp when there are tons of plants in front of it............

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Thats huge!!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i can't even believe how fat that is, that must be a really old tree, no wonder it grows so well.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

You are putting to rest the story about these babies having a 2 year life span outside their home territory. Good on you!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh really Liz, where did you hear this?
