It's blooming.
My unknown white.
You've done a good job. looks like a suavolens type, should be fragrant? bet it'll put a good show on til first hard frost.
Thanks Arlene, this was my very first brug, thus the addiction began....
Very nice and yes, it is an addiction.
Nice!! So if this was the first, how many in your collection now?
Lot's but unfortunately the only named one's I have are the variegated. I have Sunset and Peaches and Cream. Un-named I have orange, gold, white, pink and yellow. I also have a shredded white but allas it also came with out a name. When I started I didn't even know there was more to these then just Brugmansia. I am also suppose to have a Jamican Yellow, somewhere around here. LOL :0)
I'm finding out how important it is to have them tagged with the correct name. I work hard at it, but once in a while, something slips up, like my brain, and I don't have what I want, where I want it. Like this year, I thought I had Jean Pasco planted just where I wanted her and she ends up being a Dr. Suess. Well, two JP's end up being Dr. Suess. Guess I better work a little harder this year at tagging. Bet it won't be long and you will have a bunch of named ones.
My problem is not in the tagging, it's in the sources. Most came in trades and they were only tagged as color. The first two I bought from a local nursery/landscaper and all they knew about them was that they were Brugmansia and they came from Mexico. I paid $25 for this white 3 years ago in a one gallon pot. Bought the pink also, same story.
the first six i got were all labeled wrong, and a few of the rest. lots better with right names as far as i know lately, though who knows?
Yeah and the worst part of it is there not easily to identify like most plants. I can't even begin to imagine how many there are.
