Kell, your sang is just beautiful. I'd take Christmas trees in July if they would look like that.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

You have yourself a beauty there Kell. Very nice.

Kelley, I think I will go Brug hunting outside your kitchenwindow. LOL Its beautiful. Is it in sun or shade?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

well it is my only claim to fame on the brug forum! I have started to look at it with new respect since you all appreciate its beauty. I have been too busy eyeing your brugs with lust. It is in full sun and grows like a weed. I literally cut away at least 2 full sizes or more of it a year. If I donot cut it back every 2 to 3 weeks it smothers the surrounding plants. I do not think it has frozen to the ground even in the big freeze a few years back. last year when my other brugs lost all their leaves or froze to the ground, it just got the top foot or so burnt. It soon outgrew the damage. I recall that the trunk is ugly so it may have frozen back once or twice. I will take a picture of the trunk later, it is huge. The sprouts come right out from the base, all growing horizontal out (not up to the sky), all the way up so you do not see the trunk at all. just a solid wall of green.

Someone (Taji z7 ) on the garden web said that Herrenhauser Garten will grow like that here................. then you all will really have brug envy! LOL

Wow!! That is gorgious. I have one planted that is three ft., tall now. I am wondering if I will have to dig it and pot it before winter set's in. We do get frost and an ocassional night of freezing tempratures. Can anyone
tell me. Does anyone know the answer to my question. I am in zone 9 Calif?

Jerodsmom.........i live in zone 9 also............ in fact you are much hotter than i am in the summer so does that mean colder or hotter in the winter??? I am sure it will do great all winter in the ground! If not, I will give you a huge cutting in the spring!
