This hybrid I did many years ago....stayed off the compost heap by changing colors..and not all over the plant at once..it would sometimes have a two toned look as several flowers were amber(honey colored) and others were white.You can see why I named it this!
Kyle, that one just bloomed for me. I like the stripes in the blooms.

Funny that this brug isn't drooping in the heat like I am. Nice picture Kyle. My EC Pink didn't recover from the heat yesterday. That one and only bloom looked sick then, but by last night........GONE!!
Do you have any others in bloom now? Love to see what they are doing too. If we don't get some relief before long, I'm going to wilt.
Brugcrazy I just wish all these people that have it would spell the name right...evenb the catalogs are usually spelled wrong. Its "Milk 'N' Honey" no and, & or anything else. LOL

Kyle, sorry about the misspelling--It will be Milk N Honey from now on. I am starting a new thread which has side by side photos of your Temple Goddess and Lee Allen. I hope you don't mind, I used your photo of Temple Goddess to compare. Please let me know what you think.

I don't know if it the soil or temp. but the Milk N Honey flowers never change color. The only color is the stripe. Have grown this plant for several years and no matter when it blooms there is no change in color except for the stripe.Does anyone else have the same experience? By the way, Milk N Honey is still one of my favorites. It blooms non stop all summer.

Click back about 4 pages and I have a picture of mine posted. Milk N Honey for Arlene. You can see the solid amber flower and the white flower too. Whew! I spelled it correctly too.
I'll take a closer look at the plants and blooms tomorrow. Thanks for insight. Hopefully this will not get like Frosted Pink.LOL

Brugmansia I don't have any of your hybrids yet....after 3 years hiatas from breeding or collecting brugs..I'm kinda behind everyone else!! LOL You have some very good hybrids too!

All I can say is that coming from you any comment at all...even a subtle comment is enough to go to my head. Thanks ever so much for your kind words. As for being behind everyone else, I can only imagine that your going to have some of the most spectacular hybrids to date when you start releasing again...or at least posting some pictures of your beauties. If it were not for your hybrids, I would never have gotten interested in hybridizing these wonderful hybrids in the first place.

Now here comes the truth, I thought you were just giving me a polite comment. If I had of known you were serious I would have looked for the clippers. Even if you just wanted my hybrids to hybridize with one time and for nothing else I would have been honored.
may I then gracefully bow out and let you two trade/work it out? Eric may still have more that haven't been released, and I'd feel much better if they came straight from him. If you need me I'm still here though:)
Tig, you probably have more of my hybrids then I do and I would much rather you benefit than me. I was not trying to "butt" in on your trade in any way. If you need some to send though feel free to give me an email and I'll package some up to send to you. I know I said I wasn't sending out anymore of my named hybrids, but for you I can make an exception.

Here too SIGH! Supposed to get colder on weekend - last night it has been already -16°C! Not cold enough, I guess!
