I have never seen this on any brugs that I have grown. What is interesting about the Milk and Honey is the color stays between the segment lines. It is on each segment area and the spaces between stay off white.
Striped brug
Usually it colors evenly as the flowers age..at least it did when it bloomed the first few times here.I will post a pic of it from our conditions here in summer.makes it look different. :-)
Mine did like that one. It had stripes.
Brugman also has one that does that while it is turning...Spring Peach.
Spring Peach has the most gorgeous shape. I couldn't believe how beautiful it is, I kept going back and going back. Of course, it's in my yard now:)
tiG....it is also has a very large flower...I just love it.
Spring peach has 2 sisters in my yard, vpx1 getting ready to bloom. it is very similar to spring peach but the colors are different. vpx2 only had one bloom very late last year and all i can remember is white, more velveety leaves than her sisters. am looking forward to seeing these bloom this year along with some more. DrS X BF has the curley Q tendrils, looking forward to see its first bloom open in a couple of days.
aw man, I didn't make it to those with my clippers!!!! hehehe
Hey tiG . . . how did you miss that one with the curly Q tendrils? Sounds beautiful - - doesn't it?
it wasn't open:) maybe I should go back?? LOL!
Ok--where is the picture of Spring Peach.
Amber Rose has stripes as well.Pink and yellow stripes-one of my favorites.
I've got pods on MNH crossed to Jean Pasko and Isabella. It's blooming again so I'll have to go out tomorrow and get some EP and Whiskers pollen to use on it.
