This bed is just stunning. They have tons of flat gorgeous land, and the first thing you see is this bed. It is beyond words gorgeous. I will post the rest of my pictures in my journal and give a link as soon as I get them worked. and we even took a picture of the truck loaded. I have a 6+ foot three trunked Versi Peach in the ground now with buds and it can't even tell yet it's been moved!
arlenes tropical bed
That's what I meant for my tropical beds to look like!! Gorgeous.
Nice looking tropical bed. Can't wait to see the rest. I'm worn out with my little place, and can't imagine how you all do so much.
Me too.
Arlene stole my garden!!!!Very nice,I wanna live at Arlenes too!
That's on the end my drain field. it is my lowest maintenance place. i really like my bananas. the castor beans are volunteers. hardest thing about this is thinning out the cannas.
Cala, i have seen enough of your pics to know your place is gorgeous.
CC, it's a lot of fun having company on the late night runs with a flash lite. when you go to disney, stop by!

Great pictures. I'm sure you had to enjoy looking at gardens like those. Beautiful. Nice to finally see you to Arlene. You are looking good, but just wondering where you hat was........ just trying to watch out for you!!
You guys are too much!
Arlene, your brugs and gardens are great!
Tig your shots of the truck taped up are too funny
hey CC, it worked!!! LOL! that table really kept the plants from being beat up. Hate to see what PJ's truck will look like after the tape comes off, but it was her DH's idea, so we won't get in trouble:)
You got me with the hat , Ms Brugie. something happened to that pic though, i am still 19 and size 9, lol. i have squamous cell on my nose, have to get it cut out, the regular dermatologist doesn't do it, a surgeon type will. read tonight that when squamous cells are cut out they leave holes, gonna have to get a custom nose ring to plug the extra hole.......
Glad to hear he's adjusting, hadn't heard anything about him since the day they dropped him off.
Beautiful tropical and brug beds Arlene. Sounds like a great time, girls packed the truck up real good. Nice to see the person who has shared so much with us all.
Great pictures tiG...it's about time we got to see Arlene...the last picture of her she was hiding in the Brugs.
Arlene, What beautiful gardens you have. Florida's looking awful good after seeing your yard and gardens. After seeing these pictures I know who I'm taking with me if I ever raid someone's garden.LOL
I so enjoyed the pictures tiG! Made me feel part of it all esp after reading the trip planning thread as it evolved. You are so organized tiG. Just loved your garden Arlene, so fantastic! But you lied........you still have tons of room there........for grass was made to be replaced.
I agree Kell, she still has lots of room!! Arlene, when you have the surgery on your nose, be sure to keep it protected from the sun to keep the scar from getting dark. We will have to find you a really cool nose ring!!(do they have backs on them like earrings? How do you breathe with them in your nose? Just wondering)
That bed is just beautiful. It's what I hoped mine would look like.I've got to visit Arlene someday.
JT, you are much more than welcome. my trading friend robin is supposed to have a trade on a saturday in september. Dee is coming if it isn't the last weekend and Irish is supposed to come, he and Katy came last fall. maybe you and Anne could come. she's about 10 minutes from me 4-5 crow miles. 40 X 48 greenhouse and more exotics than most nurseries in town.
What do you say brugcrazy?? We spend the summers here and the winters in a tent camped out at Arlene's? I sure could get used to those gardens quickly.
Arlene...AWESOME JOB!!!!(((patting Arlene on the back)))..great composition. :-)
Thanks, Eclipse (not so hard)lol.
So pretty Arlene and I know it must be just beautiful in person where you can see each and every plant and smell the fragrance. Keep that hat on!
We will try to make it to Robin's swap. Please remind me when it gets close.Ann is always ready for a trip.
I wanna go!!
hehehe........
JT, i will pin her down this week with a date. her and her mom are both neat, they have 60 acres between them and are both plant nuts. her DH has plants from all over the middle east, he likes bug eating plants. So glad you can come. Azalea, PLEASE come too! My DH liked you ladies also, i know he loved it when tig went into the briar patch after him to look at the sink hole, and he thinks those old trees are better than grits, but then he is a yankee.
well, those trees were awesome! wonder how old they are? If he would admit what they would look like with a clear view to them, wow!!! it would make your wonderful place even more stunning. DH let me take our center front bed and make it an oval today. I've been begging all year! going to go for a small version of yours above, but have to work around the milk and wine lilies.
Well he's a pretty good guy to let us barge in and keep him up like that and make his supper so late too. Those old trees are gorgeous.
while you are all at Arlene's having a grand time......I will sacrifice and stay at Liz's..protecting the brugs against the elements..........alone but not afraid! I will do my duty! (and enjoying the view!!!LOL)
You are just a riot Kell - you do remember that I don't plan on cooking or cleaning until November when the brugs come in? Thank goodness for takeout.
Liz, you will be in a tent outside of Arlenes with brugcrazy.....so I will have to go it alone in Vancouver! By the way, are you taking your DH with you to Arlene's? I could always use him for some light cooking and cleaning while you are away.
You're talking about the guy who lives here and has never learned to close a kitchen cupboard or turn on the dishwasher?? OK - then he comes with the house. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Arlene, I am speechless, your gardens are awesome, in the true sense of the word....wow is all I can say, and I was wondering where your hat was....You have such a generous heart!
Tig and Azalea, I loved those pictures of the truck...amazing - simply amazing is all I can say.
Kell, I'll come and keep you company up there.. and Liz, don't worry we'll cook and clean for your DH.....
