My tropical and hardy lily put out nice buds but they won't open. I cut the hardy bud off but perhaps shouldn't have. I've been feeding them but perhaps not enough. I stuck another pellet in them both last evening. Couldn't hurt,,,right? Anyone ever had this problem before? Thanks everyone!! "T" :)

I feed my lily's one tab a week during heavy growing and blooming times. Try that. Are the buds forming completely?
I feed mine every 2 weeks,I use broken up tree fertilizer spikes,broken into chunks.Are they getting enough sun?
The bud finally opened. It seemed to take almost a week for it to open but it did. I have a feeling the floating plants are keeping the sun from the plant so I may have to thin some. Either that or tie them up some...kinda like a lasso to control them alittle bit. Thanks for the help. It's truly appreciated. "T" :)
