What am I doing wrong?

I've bee trying to hyperlink and it's just not working. Going by gardenwife's intructions which I copied I went into my Documents,brought the picture up that I wanted to hyperlink, highlighted the address bar,clicked Edit-copy.
Went to the Brug forum and to "candida hybrid" post that I wanted to put the hyperlink in and clicked edit-paste.
The address showed up but not the hyperlink. Heeeelp.
