Good morning folks. Last night my hubby mentioned that it was going to be Thursday already. I looked at him and argued the fact that it was going to Wed. I had to actually look at the calendar and see for myself..my question is this: Where did tuesday go too???or was it monday??? Heck, I don't know. I have been so busy here.
The temps here have been in the high 90's with the heat index of 110. Yesterday was terrible, you just stood still and sweated profusely. The figs are about finished. I am only picking about a gallon a day now rather than the 3 gals. I"ve been picking. Right now they get ripe and burst so fast in the heat. If you stand under the tree, it actually rains sugar on you. THe syrup from the figs drip down on your head due to the heat.
Our market will be closing in 2 weeks. It will reopen again in about 5-6 weeks. The produce farmers hit a lull in the gardens with the summer veggies coming to a close and the winter/fall veggies coming in. I hope during the time it is closed that I can get some things unpacked here.
