No Longer flowerless

Am I the last one to get blooms? This is Cala's white suave from the seed pod she sent.

beautiful!! when did you start the seed?????

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

No this wasn't a seed. I rooted the stems that the pods came on. I don't know if I'll be seeing blooms on my seedlings. At this point... I'm not sure if I'll get flowers on the big plants!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh, misunderstood. it's really pretty!!

Poppysue, so glad you're getting flowers now. I've got some blooming but not nearly as many as people down south. Guess we just don't get hot enough. But my sanguineas are blooming or covered in buds. How are your sanguineas doing? They should do great in your area.

Poppysue, hope you have many more soon.

We had a terrible hot spell here at the end of June & first of July. I ended up bringing the sangs in the house for a while but they still continued to drop leaves. I thought they might die. The weather has been better and they're back out again. Seems like they're recovering ok. My yellow sang doesn't look too good tho. The leaves are deformed - similar to the plant that Liz posted. I thought it was from the heat... but maybe not.

Congratulations poppysue! It's so pretty. They'll all start taking off now and blooming for you.

A lovely picture. Pretty bloom and I know it has a wonderful scent. And not a slug bite, caterpiller hole on those leaves. Congratulations!

Liz.... believe me I have plenty of slug holes. Maybe not on this one but some of them look awful. We've had great slug weather this year.

Poppysue, so glad you have blooms now. Sure makes life less stressful when they start blooming. Have fun with your brugs. I love them more each year and I bet you will too. Wish I could successfully grow the sangs here, but our weather is so hot. Still working on a couple of them in hopes..........

Forgot to mention that those blooms are very pretty.

Poppysue, do I need to tie a blooming plant on the top of the car and bring it to you?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

What a beautiful little plant. There something to be said for these smaller plants in bloom!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL Cala - I don't think that's necessary! Sooner or later I'm bound to get some more blooms - right? I'm afraid There won't be much of a show when you get here tho. I bet Snowhermits brugs will make up for it.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I don't know about that poppysue. It looks like most of mine are going to bloom this week. With my luck they will be naked when the girls get here.

That's what happened when the group from the round up came here. The next day everything was in full bloom.

No Poppysue, You aren't the last for flowers. I still don't have any flowers on mine. But mine have y'd and I am ready to go out anytime now and see some buds. Yours sure is pretty and I wish we had smell-o-puter. LOL Lani
