I would love to get a couple of different ones if anyone has some to trade. I have some small arbacola (sp. is not right).
Does anyone grow African Violets?
I think AngelSong does but not sure what kinds or how many she grows.
Her server is down. I'll see if she has anything to trade for you. "T" :)
Honibee - check your email.

I used to grow beautiful African violets, but the specialty nursery I got them from burned up in one of the Malibu fires. Apart from the yearly show in my area, I don't know a good place to get them.
Anyone know any online sources? The plants in my local nursery are discouraging.
Hi Anne,
Your location is fairly close to mine. If you're ever in Morro Bay, check out the Garden Gallery. It's on the Embarcadero. They have an amazing selection of violets at $4.95 each.
I haven't purchased from any online sources yet, but the African Violet Society of America has a list of vendors by state. Here's the link:

Good luck with your search.

Thanks! What a neat site!

I have a few but I have gotten out of them mostly. At one time it took me three hours to water all my houseplants most of which were AV's. I am trying to get almost all my plants outside from now on. Mostly because in the winter I want to be lazy. lol Lani
