i did a thorough search on all the brug leaves that has holes. finally i found some to take photo. mind u, this are only less than 1/4 of an inch in size. these buggers are too difficult to find. they are too good at camouflaging themselves.
anyone know what these suckers are? how to get rid of them, aside from picking them up and squeezing them? appreciate whatever help i can get. it seems they are spreading to all the brugs i am growing. i was lucky to find this one, they are too evasive, so good at hiding.
green pin size worm
MVR, those are nasty looking little critters. Maybe try spraying with BT. Don't ask me to spell it though, because I can't. It is supposed to be good for all kinds of worms, including that nasty tomato hornworm. I've not had to try it yet, so I'd just try one to begin with to see if it harms the plant. I can see that they can really do some damage. Good luck with getting rid of them.
MaVie, I use to pick them up and squeeze them. They are eating from all leaf sizes, but prefer the top leaves. I take a round in the Brug garden every morning and evening to see, if I can find some and there are always a few. I have something to spray with, but it only works, if it hits the worms, so it is easier to squeeze.
I have found a couple, have to look close, tiny and same color as leaf. I pinch them. Don't like to spray unless there is no other way.
Thanks everyone :). found 6 worm, earlier this morning. pick every single one with the aid of a tweezor. bug give me the eeky feeling. just coudl not handle them by hand. before the sun came up, i spray malathion on and under the leaves. will keep u posted on any developments. Thanks Again!
I think I may have some. Thanks for the "Heads up". I'll look and try some sevin dust. (There go the butterflies.)
Marieee, i've tried Sevin, Safer Soap, and others, it never did nothing, the reason why i resulted in using Malathion. am glad most of edible plants are located at the back of the building, i do not have to worry about butterflies or bird being harmed.
