Morning folks,
The show heifer just got picked up this morning for the county 4-H shows. DH and the kid that is showing her trimmed her hooves last night. She stood like a rock. The noise didn't even bother her. She's such a sweetie. I hope it doesn't get as hot as they predict, those animals will roast in those barns.
Anybody have any good cattle/farm jokes? DH has to be MC for the beef show tomorrow night and he always throws in a couple of jokes here and there. I think we will also roast in the show barn if it gets to the 100 degree mark. I'm hoping that the tradition of rain on achievement days holds up and it rains an inch. I don't think any of the kids would mind either if it rained on their calves.
Well, gotta run. Need to pick up some stocker starter for the heifer and then go type up show schedules. The poor dairy show will probably only last a half an hour because they only have 10 signed up compared to 60 for the beef show. Seems like nobody milks anymore.
