South African Foxglove / Wild foxglove (Ceratotheca triloba)

At least a dozens blooms on this plant. A big rain storm blew the guy over, and then he sent up a dozen new shoots. I think this is the secret to getting lots of blooms.

Dave, are you growing this here in Kerrville?? Sun, shade, soil amendments. BTW, the German tomatoe seeds produced the biggest tomatoes I've ever seen! I'm gonna post one on the tomato forum.

These african foxgloves were grown in East Tennessee, before I moved to Kerrville, and I haven't grown them here yet. However, I am 100% confident that these plants are at least deer resistant, and I don't know why they wouldn't grow well here. I had them in full sun in Tennessee and they did great.

I'm looking forward to seeing your German tomatoes pictures. I have a huge crop of Cherokee Purple tomatoes and I'd be pleased to share some fruit with you so you can try those out. Will have new plants in a few weeks to share also, if you're interested. E-mail me.
