very very long tendrils, thought it was white and it has turned nearly the same butter/honey color as snow's VP X Cuba. thought it was eric's candida white hybrid.
candida hybrid
that is gorgeous!!!!!!!! very very nice
Wow! That one is beautiful too. Your yard must be full of blooms and heavenly scent in the evening.
Another nice brug Arlene. I don't know how you can look at all your brugs and decide which ones you are going to part with. This would be a keeper in my book.
Arlene, is that a Iochroma on the right in the back?
Kell, the only iochroma i have is still in a pot!
I just saw one here (an Iochroma) planted in the ground at a nursery that was 12 to 15 feet tall......... I was amazed
Very nice---is it pale yellow? I do love those long tendrils.
Pretty
Barb, at 6 o'clock now the bottoms look definitely yellow, will see how they look in a while.
Love it arlene!!!
All I can say is "WOW". Very nice Arlene.
Wow again. . love those tendrils!!

Arlene, Just posted a picture of Milk N Honey. Hope it helps you.
Snow,
did you figure out how to put in a hyperlink?
can't count, 35-40 i think with blooms, several more getting ready.
No kell. After I hit 50 I lost my mind. :)
If I can figure out(with much help) how to post pictures.........you can do the hyperlink..lol.....did you see the thread that and i and I think cala gave you some help?? are you interested in learning?
Snow, when at the page you want to link, just put cursor on location at top of browser and copy it. go back to page you want to link to and hit paste. i discovered by accident.
btw, i can't tell from your pic. this doesn't look like the pic at abads, just don't know.
Kell, I printed out the instuctios for hyperlink here on Dave's and it doesn't work for me. It seems when I copy it is lost. I'll practice again someday.
Practice hyperlink.

Shoots. Back to the drawing board. :(
to copy try
click on web address so it is hilighted
then put your left finger........pick one.......on the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard. It is located on the very bottom left side of the keyboard. Then with other hand finger while you are holding down the control button push on the C key. This will copy. Then move your curser down to the "your message" part on Dave's and click on that part of the page. Again push down control.....Ctrl button and this time while holding it down push on the V key. This will release the copied message where your curser is. For Dave's to recognize that this is a hyperlink the web address must be complete and start with the h t t p:// (I am putting a space in between the letters or Dave's will write hyperlink instead of h t t p.) Try copying a few times to get the hang of it.
do not worry you will get it..............
kell, Bringing this over to the computer forum.
Oh there is a computer forum?? I need a photo forum! LOL
Brugman, this was yours, what is it? would love to know.......
Arlene, that one came out of my Frosty pink bed if memory serves me which is one reason I culled it. I didn't have any Frosty pink x Ecuador pink...which is what I would have used at the time. Still, it was a white unknown the first time it bloomed. That one will remain a mystery. I don't know how that one got in the batch. I'm sure many of you know that the main reason I released many of my named hybrids last year was because I anticipated that I would have a lull in hybridizing with the advent of a new baby. That baby being only 12 lbs at almost 12 months of age right now...well it looks like I can set a few seedpods between doctor visits, but I am not growing much in comparison. I must admit that the hybrids I gave out all bloomed very early and were my favorites out of what I let bloom, but I must admit it was a struggle to decide if I should release them to let others use to perhaps come up with something better or if I should cross them all to one of my favorite aurea hybrids. Good thing I waited though, as Butterfly and Gloria's aurea hybrids are just what I wanted to cross them to. Of course, I cut my hybrids straight to the ground and kept only the roots of many and the crown of one to breed with myself. Which is why I have to wonder why some of my hybrids have not bloomed for others already. I took both hardwood and green tip cuttings so heres hoping someone gets something worth while soon....I must confess I thought you liked versicolors a bit more than me as well, hence as I knew I was getting rid of all of my versicolors that didn't have a smidgen of aurea in them....I didn't want something white or nearly white and of unknown parentage.
Brugman, kyle's pink was the only one of your named ones from last year that i had, and it has been blooming and i love it. tig brought me amber rose last week. i can promise you if i had the others they would have been blooming. i still have more of your seedlings from last year that haven't bloomed yet, have buds on one now i am anxiously waiting on.
Eric, I have been behind on feeding. I had a major family crisis (okay two) this entire spring and was doing good just to get things watered and fed once a week. Things are calmed down, and I'm on track, they are so well fed right now, they are full!!! I have blooms on Dr D, Kyles Pink, more than one seedling. I will have most everything from you (seedling wise) bloom before fall, unless life gets in the way again. I feel like I've let you down, I have so many seeds that I promised I would raise and take care of. I am doing that, but could have done better. Maybe something in there is a knockdown beauty and we'll forget how slow I was:)
Arlene,
I just want to see my favorite Amber Rose in bloom. Its been a while. I loved the clear Amber stripes on that one. My wife called that one the pinwheel when she saw it blooming for the first time.
eric, we posted at the same time, I wrote you a note above:)
Tig,
You know I understand. I hope you get something worthwhile as well. We can't always get something worth while though. Last year some of my best crosses were from crosses I sent out to others that were unnamed. I keep thinking of all the hundreds of seedlings I have sent to Texas and other states and I often wonder if any of those were worthwhile or if they simply all died. I'd like to think of them as living though.
Nice photos. Love those tendrils. Your candida is more toward the yellow side & mine seems more white with pink lines toward the middle of the flower & no tendrils, sigh. Keep up the good work!!!!
Brugman,
I hope your baby has continued success. My middle daughter was born very premature. I consider her to be my miracle birth. Good luck and here's hoping things go well for her.
