Ohhhh I do like that one! Are the flowers large. They look large in the picture. Now I'm really hoping mine will bloom this year.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nice brug you two. Is this from seed this year Arlene? I like the soft yellow color.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Hi Ms Brugie!! Snow sent me the seedling. it Yed at about 5 1/2 feet. i think they came up first of january. i like the shape too.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

The flowers and leaves look huge! How great it must be to know you made that! Without you it would not be. How special to be able to bring such beauty into the world that many people can share with you.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Kell, i didn't make it. Snowhermit started the seeds, not sure who did the cross. but you think brugs are addicting, wait until you start growing them from seeds just to see what you'll get!!!! gotta make room for my seedlings since i can't afford a tractor.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Well Arlene, all I can say is I take it all back and you best get busy!

LOL...Kelley

JT,

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Arlene, You grew it to the beauty it is today. It is yours to name.I know you'll think of a good name for it.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Another very pretty one Arlene. I wish I could get some pollinated. I tried today but Butterfly was dry. Don't know what is going on.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

BrugNanny, try butterfly pollen the first night it opens, or rip one open right before it blooms..... i thought yor butterfly didn't have buds yet, did you mean pink beauty???

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

No Arlene . . I meant Eq. Pink. I must have had Butterfly on my mind. I checked it during the day on the first day open. I will wait until the evenings and check it right before the bloom opens like you suggested. I did pollinate Whiskers a couple weeks ago with EP but a few days ago all 3 of them fell off. Don't know why. There was lots of pollen.

okay, this makes me very nervous to do. i'm thinking about naming it Ora Belle, afer my grandma Ora Bell Kelley Howard.
was thinking about her today, she had a glass eye, lost an eye to a butcher knife when she was very young. we have a new puppy DS brought home, brindle pit pull, and the cat got him in the eye, his eye is going to have to be removed friday. can you tell i am old? anyway, it seems to suit the flower.
DS decided to name poor one eyed poppy popeye, DD says "why don't you go ahead and give him a real complex, name him cyclops?"

Arlene,
That's a nice name.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

thanks, Glory. did you feel nervous naming your first brug?

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Arlene . . that would be so special to name a brug after your grandma. I like it!

FSH, TX

I definitly like the formon that one. Great job Arlene.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Arlene, that's a good name. I like it.How nice to name it after your grandma.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)
