Will this work?

I am not too sharp when it comes to computers, but. I was thinking of those not having a home scanner or digital camera. Would it be possible to, say, go to the local library and scan a photo. And then send the photo to themselves as a mail attachment. At home, right click on the photo to save as a document (My Pictures). If this is possible, a lot more gardeners could show their gardens. Just a thought.
