Good afternoon all! Cool front came through - it is so nice out. I need to do some more work outside. I walked through the pasture this a.m. to check the cows but couldn't find two calves. I hope they were just hiding. Since there were two missing, I feel better than if there was just one. DD went to a county fair to help some of our new sheep shower customers. When she gets back we will go look for Dolly and Daisy's calves. Those calves are funny though when they try to hide behind some big grass. Our teen helper is working for a hog farmer this summer. He said he bought a few ruptured hogs cheap and will let us have one. I feel so bad for the pork producers as the price is low again. I'm afraid the small people will give up and the "big guys" will totally take over.

Karla - I'm sorry for your job. We are fortunate that my husband is pretty secure. However, my days are numbered and I need to start looking a little more agressively. And I don't think the urban Nebraska people realize that if we don't start getting some rain, they're going to start feeling the effects too.

Fridge was looking pretty baren so I made a trip to Lincoln yesterday. Checked the Goodwill that was close. I "found" a long camel winter coat for only $9. It looks like it was hardly worn. I needed a "good" coat but didn't want to spend the $$$ since I usually dress casual. Also splurged at the grocery store and bought bing cherries. MMMMM - they are so good. Also picked up some no fat cracked pepper honey turkey. Another MMMMMM. I think I will hide both from dd. I'm a "mean mom".

Better go - dd will be home soon. I need to clean up after myself. Have a good day and take care!
