Oh how beautiful, on the vines and climbers forum I have seen lots of passion vines, they look exotic. Do they last outside for you? I have only one, the common caerula and it hasn't bloomed yet. I trimmed it pretty severily, itis coming but oh so slow.Joann

Hi Lenjo -

This one (citrina) is definately not hardy. I just move mine inside for the winter where the oddly-shaped leaves make for a handsome house plant.

There are several species and many cultivars that are reputed to be hardy - your caerulea is one, and incarnata is another one. Here in Tokyo, variations of the "Amethyst" hybrid survive 0 degree weather and light frosts for days on end. Here's a good reference:
