This brug is really a strong grower. Our storms today didn't bother it a bit.
Tragedy 2001 getting started
your brugs all look great, and 2001 is blooming up a storm!!!
Yours have been blooming for quite a while, haven't they? I'm just getting started now. Can't wait for something other than yellow, white and that darned Frosty Pink that was supposed to be yellow. Guess it is giving me a little variety right now.
Very pretty Brugie and so many blooms. What is the orange one to the left.

Brugie, it's been going in streaks. for a while i wanted to see anything but pink!!! creamsickle is loaded for bear, gonna hae 11-12 open at once. nice to see you frannie.
Shirley, That's such a beautiful plant with all those blooms. Your plants are nice and full. Mine are tall and more like trees. I'll have to learn the trick to keeping them short and full of blooms.

Most of mine are stripped to resemble trees too, but this is one that I held over from last year. It has a bare trunk, but is quite bushy. I didn't do anything to it when I pulled it from the garage. Just stuck it in the ground.
Arlene, I hope you will post a picture of Creamsickle when it has several open blooms. I'm getting anxious for Glory's v. peach to bloom and Snow's Isabella. Maya has a pretty bloom and nice color, but it just had one bloom. It came right between the legs of the Y. So, I'm waiting again. Jam. yellow will open in a week or so and Whiskers has good buds again. I think I'll always have something in bloom from now on, but I want COLOR all over the place.
Shoot, I guess those are arms, not legs..... :-)

Great looking brugie...........so tell me how did it get its name?
Kell, it bloomed for the first time right around the 9-11-tragedy of 2001. I just thought it would remind me of that day each time I looked at it and it does, not because it looks like a tragedy, but because of 9-11-01. It was kind of a brug memorial to all of those affected.

Brugie . . . no email yet . . it seems to be just me because the telephone company says everyone else's is working. Spoke to them 3 days ago and the problem is being looked at by engineering which is the highest level. I am about to go crazy without email.
Frannie, did you tell me you wanted a Shredded White? I've got to start keeping better records.

Me too Frannie, but I want to make sure you will be home to get it. I know you visit your sis once in a while and it would be my luck that I'd mail while you were gone. Oh yeah, my Dutchman's Pipe has bloomed and has more buds. Such funny little blooms. I love it.

Arlene . . I have a Lycos and a Yahoo mail account but I cannot even get email there. I did not realize until now that all ones email accounts are actually intertwined somehow with the main provider. Called today and they still have not figured out why my email is not coming thru their server. If it is not fixed early next week then I will just have to change providers . .enough of this x?!#. Can't wait to find out my surprise!!!

have u tried double checking the setting of ur email? often times, the settings get mess up when a hacker snope into ur system. it does happen to me every now and then. i use Netscape as a browser, am not familiar with IE.
on Netscape, click on Edit, scroll down to Preferences. click on Mail & newsgroup; click on identity to see if ur email addy is correct. while u're at it. also double check ur password.
while ur still on preferences and Mail & newsgroup;click on Mail server, check ur smtp addy [outgoing server] settings; see if the address is typed correctly. check on Incoming server by clicking on Edit - double check the settings too. once done click ok. click ok on the preference menu again. reboot ur system.
if the error was on the settings, once u boot up ur email should work. i alsways make it a point to keep note on the setting on the preference section. i hope u do too. good luck!
Thanks MaVie for all the useful info but I have gone thru all that. I even checked with SWBEll (my provider) and they went thru it with me and everything is as it should be. The problem is that my mail is not even showing at SWBell's server so therefore there is no mail for me to receive. I know it sounds complicated.
don't feel bad Franny, i get that with Verizon too. often times i wonder if those people even know what they are doing. i made calls and all they say is we are aware of the problem and we are working on it. so i do understand u're predicament. often times it is over sight on their part. am so glad each time we change provider. i do make a print of the server's vital info. so i am totally dependent on them. it is so frustrating to make a call and be made look like a fool. or talk to someone who has a job and don't even know what they are doing.
i hope u be able to resolve ur problem soon.
one thing i do not understand though is... i do have other accts. on Yahoo and Lycos too. if my server's email does not work, i can always use either of the two without any problem. that is strange.
