Help! Splitting and replanting Dutch Irises

I need some guidance on splitting, replanting, etc.. Can I plant them in shade or partial shade? How quickly do they multiply? Is there a good hyperlink? And by the way, what is a HYPERLINK? Please hurry with any replies, because I just dug them up about an hour ago!

Are you sure you maen Dutch irises?? Dutch irises make a bulb.... other beardless irises make thick rhizomes....

I'm not sure what a rhizome is. The roots looks like a cluster of ginger root with bumps. Is a rhizome different from a bulb? Not to change the subject, but where is Westbrook? I've never heard of it.
