Another sage

This is Salvia officinalis 'Tricolour'
Only the traditional sage flavour, but very attractive, particularly when planted alongside yellowy greens.

I love all the sages, and they're great as tea for a sore throat. Though a bit of honey in the cup helps to take off the strong and rather bitter taste LOL

I've grown a few of the sages, but they don't winter over well here. This one is a real beauty.

Yes, there are a few i'd like to grow Weez, but are not reliable even here LOL

I managed to keep a lovely pineapple sage alive for two years by bringing it indoors in the winter, but I've given up wintering over indoors because it tends to bring aphids in too. The pineapple sage had a wonderful red flower stem.

I had that too and lost it :(

thank you!!! - i got my garden sage to root by just inserting woody stems into the soil next to the parent plant. they all rooted eventually.
