Hi Baa,
Gosh the plants/flowers in your last three posts are pretty and look kind of exotic. Are they in a green house or indoors? Where do you get your seeds/starts? Have you ever heard of Chiltern Seeds there in England? I ordered three items from them and they have a huge variety of plant, flower, tree seeds.
Hi Lenjo
The Dracocephalum and Scutellaria pictured are European/Russian wildflowers. The only thing they struggle with here in Southern England is the wet winter so they stay outside all year in alpine containers. Russia has a huge wealth of excellent plants that really ought to have more recognition.
I'm lucky enough to live within reasonable driving distance of a superb little nursery which supply quite a range of unusual and rare alpines and perennials (no mail order and only open between March and July, in the wilds of rural Hampshire). I've grown the Dracocephalum for 3 years now (the plant pictured is an additional aquisition), the Scutellaria is a new one for me this year. I took the pics in the greenhouse because it was pelting down with rain outside LOL!
I get Chilterns' catalogue each Christmas and find their range the best I've ever seen. The seeds have a good germination rate too. I get most of the plants/seeds from a wide range of sources but Chilterns and Blackthorn Nursery (the one I described) are the main two I buy from.
