who posted a picture of a great homemade trellis of COPPER wire that was attached to a post? The wire wound around the post very loosely??? IT WAS GREAT!!! And a room saver for those of us that are yardsspace challenged. I went to HD yesterday and bought the post and the fattest copper wire I could find.........and I just spent the last 1/2 our sweettalking my DH into doing it...........and can't find the directions I had saved from the thread.............. I would love to find that thread again!!!!!
thank you

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP who remembers.
Kell . . I saw that and I have no idea of what thread it was under. Sorry! To the best of my memory, you could shape the wire the way you want it. Whoever posted it said that the original one that she saw came out further on one side than the other. She had to do hers smaller because she had the small tubing. I feel that you can bend the wire in any design that you like. I don't recall any details as to how the wire was attached to the post but I think a nail would do the job.
I've also been looking for that thread again. I remember the one I saw was attached to a 12 or 14 ft. 2" x 2" post. They wound the wire around a 3 pound coffee tin, attached it to the top of the post then dropped it down to the ground. She suggested 30 ft of wire. I bought a 32 ft roll of 2/12 house wire, the heaviest I could find. Now I must cut between the two and peel off the vinyl covering. My Brother-In-Law stips wire for another purpose and anchors it to something and ties the other end to his truck and pulls it taut and then carefully slices the vinyl off with a utility knife. Haven't tried this yet so will let you know when I attempt it.
