Repost-Arborea

This is a very small flower.

This is a nice speciment, Glory lol I like very much the flower shape. Its close to Ida flowers, but the leaf on yours looks different from Ida in size (Ida has got, what Ludger from the German forum called aurea leaves, as they are very large, dentate and pubescent) and also different from the arborea Ludger brought here two days ago (light, thin, small leaves).

What is the source of your plant?

Tonny,
It came from Dr. Rich.

Very pretty Gloria and I see that it can be planted in the ground and that it must take the heat pretty well. I definitely like the shape. What kind of fragrance does it have?

lol thank you, Glory. Its a very nice specimen :-)
Have you plans of crossing it?

Tonny,
I'm going to received some pollen from a Sanguinea and see what happens there.

Brugman,
Didn't you say you had a hard time keeping this one alive?

FSH, TX

Glory,
I have rooted specimens from Riches stock and from Tonny's Ida....both rooted, but Ida rooted the best for me. They both grew very well till the heat hit-then all of the arborea's in direct sunlight bit the dust and only the Ida's in shaded area's made it. Of course one of my Ida's actually died back a bit and came back.

I had a bloom on my arborea and missed it!! I was so mad, I only found the shriveled up part :-(. Mine is doing great in the Jungle House under a huge Charles Grimaldi. I guess it likes the shade. It's got a large multi branched sanguinea growing under it.

Cala,
It gets up to 110º-115º in my greenhouse...to hot for Brugs. Do you have fans in your GH to keep it cool?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Bill and Steve just fixed me a plug in so I can have a fan. It's really hot in the top of the green house, but it's got so many brugs and vines, the bottom is shady and cool. Wally loves laying in the floor since it's the coolest place at the Garden Center.

Cala,
Sound like Walley has the right idea. :0)

I've sat in the floor a few times when sticking cuttings or repotting small plants. It's very nice down there, like sitting in a Jungle(sans spiders and snakes, lol)

Very nice plant. Glory. All of your plants are like that. Gloryand Ron's place looks like a show place, everything is just so pretty and NEAT! It is so relaxing at your place, Glory.

Roz,
How was the ride home yesterday with that smelly water lily?

gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

We just got some shrimp to eat and we didn't even notice the smell!?!

Marieee....that was a smart thing to do. LOL

Did ya get those smelly things planted?
