I think it's versi. Orange

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I think this one has turned out to be versicolor orange. It smells really strong and the blooms are all this uniform orangey peachy color.

Cala . . very pretty - I really like this one. By the way, I have many little seedlings from the seeds that you sent.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugnanny, that's great. I'm thinking there are some more seed pods that I need to send you. I need to get organized, lol.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Cala . . send them on!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This is beautiful! I have a V. peach baby. Cala, how do they differ?
thanks

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Cala, my versi. starts this color, but ends up almost a light pumpkin color. Of course, I'm sure temps and soil plus other conditions would make a big difference. I think the picture is still under EXTRAS in the brug part. That is if you want to compare.

Cala,

That is a beauty. From what I can see the yard looks beautiful.

(Zone 6a)

Very nice brug. Looks identical to my versicolor peach.

Cala, it beautiful. I can see you grow it outside ... I thought that versicolors were greenhouse Brugs in zone 7. I have versi. Apricot Queen and were adviced to bring it inside the GH not to loose the flowers. How do you make them flower so well outside? I am confused, but naturally hope, that the versi.`s would do great outside in zone 7, because many of my suaveolens hybrids has wind damaged leaves, but not the versicolor. It grow fast and well, since it took off and put out some strong roots and it seems to be quite wind hardy. All beautifull leaves and three buds lol

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Tonny, these are in the "L" of the house, around a patio. It's very protected there, and seems to be a whole zone higher in the winter. The wind usually doesn't bother anything there.
I wonder if this is versicolor peach? It's the color of orange sherbert, and smells really good.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Tonny, Ive got versi Alba, versi Peach and a couple of other versi planted outside and they have been through temperature changes from the high 30's when I first put them out to mid 90's this last week. Versi Peach has been blooming it's head off and growing a new flush of buds. Alba went through a shock when I first put her out but is just fine now and has lots of new buds. They are out in the open and have been through lots of wind with no damage. I didn't know they were supposed to be protected.Guess I'm lucky they are growing so well.

I too have Versicolors all over the yard and they are one of my best bloomers....the aroma is out of this world.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I need versicolors!I want my yard to smell....well,it smells now,but thats manure......

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Cala,
Its certainly a beauty. Your seedlings here are now almost a foot and a half tall. The leaves are very serrated, they are from the CG x EP seeds. I didn't have luck with the EP x CG seeds, but they may still sprout. I'm hoping they turn out to be really nice ones for you.

just corrected some typos...oops

MVR, hang in there. One day you will have big surprises on your brugs. I won't be around as much for a week. Have company here. Nine years old, going on 15. I have to work at keeping Taylor entertained. Hoping she will get really interested in the brugs and other flowers. I don't get that much kick out of the swimming pool and roller blading.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

ROTFL cc !!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Brugie :)! will keep my fingers cross. Good luck with Taylor.

MVR,
Before you know it you too will have more Brugs then you know what to do with like the rest of us. :0)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I miss you already Shirley........... I wondered why you were so quiet yesterday! We want to see a picture of you roller blading!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

patiently keeping my fingers crossed Glory :D!

btw Glory, as i was watering this morning, i noticed for each brug that y-ed, there are 3 branches emitting on the y-ed branch. is that normal? just curious. wondering here.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

MVR, you have a Y? It won't be long before you have blooms and you can pollinate them and have seeds and then more brugs than you know what to do with!! Sometimes they make 3 branches at the Y, but usually only 2.

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

yes, some has y'ed, one is what u sent me in March. thank You!!

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Thanks for posting that pretty picture, Calla. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to see mine bloom. I can see it will be worth the wait. Still no Y and still no buds, but plant is still alive.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)
