This hedge of Bouganvillea is down the street from where I lived in San Diego..been there forever..hurts the eyes when the sun hits it. :-)

Silly question.......why would you leave to come to Iowa? Glad you are here, but the weather out there seems so perfect all the time. Great picture. Wish we could grow them here without having to take them in during the winter.
You know what...I was wondering the same thing, why would someone leave that heavenly place and come to a cooler climate. Family maybe? That's why I moved back to Portland, oregon then across the river to Vancouver, and once established with kids and such, it's hard to just up and leave.....

Well..I'm born and raised in the Midwest..I moved to SD to be around friends(navy) at the time..and I loved it there..but something came up with family here and it still keeps me here...someday I hope not to distant I will return to San Diego. i hate Iowa weather...it reeks! :-)

A Navy man huh. Jim retired from the navy, so when you two get together, I can see the stories flyin'. He lived all over the world or at least has seen most of it. That was before I came on the scene.
Brugie...I wasn't in the navy..just had tons of military friends.I felt like I WAS in the military!LOL
