Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

I was thinking about all the talk about grasshoppers from you westerners. I was mowing (don't tell anyone) and I thought it must be a wasp in my shirt. Hurried and took my shirt off only to find a big grasshopper inside. I have gotten pretty sensitive to wasps stings and will almost do anything to avoid one. Better story than that though, Hubby took some slacks off the clothesline outside this morning to wear to work On the way to work He felt something buzzing in his pocket, crushed it and found a horsefly. I think I said yesterday how bad they are here this year. Our leasor that puts in the cropland came through with the auger for the bins. He must be going to empty the rest of the soybeans. Don't know what prices are. Glad he didn't drive through at the same time I thought I had a wasp down my shirt!
Need to make some salads for tomorrow.
Everyone take care.
