Most of my plants are starting to pop thru the soil, not to sure about the waterlily though it has yet to make an appearance! Is everybody starting to see their plants too? Does anybody have mosaic plants, I had them but they did not survive the winter. Next year all plants are comming inside. sue

Hy Sue

A few of my water lilies have reached to top of the water! Course my water is only 3' deep. :) My cat tails are about 2' high and all plants are growing happily.

So glad spring is here!!!!! We started a major job a few weeks ago, taking down the waterfall...it's done and now just cleaning up and re-establishing the one pond it was attached to. It just didn't look "natural" to me. Going to try just the fountains I have for this season, who knows maybe I'll end up re-building the falls next spring, LOL.

Hi ponders, have a few things that have come to life. The lilies have sent up many smallish pads...pickeral, cattails, thalia and water celery are growing. The water hawthorne has one bloom and the unbrella palm will go out of the house and back in the pond tomorrow.

In the greenhouse, 'Joann Pring' has sent up 3 blooms, parrots feather and 'Texas Star' hibiscus are looking good. Now, everything needs a 'feeding' for the season.

What's the best way to propgate PAPYRUS?
Any suggestions?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I know you can divide it like a grass. There is also another method I read about but I have no idea how long it takes. You cut off a stem and place it upside down in a glass of water. The roots should grow from the umbrella part. Cool, huh?

That's what I heard too..!
I wondered if anyone ever tired it?
We divide our Papyrus regulary. It's huge and grows like crazy.
We wanted to give the water thing a try, just for the fun of it.

I know if the top falls over in the water, it will make a new baby.
