candida Yellow?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

This was a cutting I got from a friend that had ordered it from Park's two years ago. It was sold as c. Yellow. It is a deeper yellow than SG and a larger flower and stays this color with no change.

Arlene, I do like it. It's a beautiful flower.Just not sure if it's what Parks said it is.It has several slits in the calyx. Any idea what it is?
Shirley, If you want any just let me know.

I have one bought from Park's 2 years ago as Candida yellow that looks just like that-except within a couple of hours after blooming it turns gold, almost old gold. Has serrated leaves, excellent growth and bloomer but the scent is rather lemony, like a lemon scented dish detergent, not unpleasant, but nothing to rave about either. I always assumed that it is whatever Park's supplier had rooted that was yellow. It bloomed earlier this year and is not blooming now but is covered with buds.

Didn't Earl say that he sells to Parks? He mentioned something about Parks while we were there, just can't remember exactly what it was.

I know a woman in La Porte Texas that grows thousands of cuttings of brugs to sell to retailers..only knows the plants by colors:pink, yellow, white, etc.She grows them by the acre.

Eclipse, that must be a pretty site! Here we have gladiolus fields that go on for acres. So pretty when in bloom.
Snowhermit, your flower is great. I love the darker colors.
