Questions about my first Datura Growing Experience

Cullman, AL(Zone 7a)

This is the first time I have ever grown Datura. I have Lilac De Fleur, Lavendar, Triple Lilac, Yellow, Triple yellow and a white.
I noticed today that the Lavendar is blooming. I was shocked to see this as it is only 8 inches tall!! I am excited, this is my first bloom from seed and I think I may fall in love with Datura.
I THOUGHT Datura was vining...but now I assume it is more "bushy"
Should I pull my prize Datura up out of the garden and put it in a large post so I can enjoy it closer to the house? How long will it bloom??

I'd be afraid that it wouldn't make the move very well. Have never tried it myself though. It will bloom until a frost, but each bloom is only good for one evening and early morning. They are nice and do generally have a nice fragrance in the evening. Enjoy them.

The vining one that you were thinking of was probably Moon flower vine.

The D. Inoxia has vining like habits...mine is climbing up the wall by my garage.

I remember this one Glory, it is so pretty and the foliage is so dark and healthy. Would you save me a seed or two?

Have finally found a couple nice plants of Bittersweet. Do you guys have that vine in your area? It is really hard to find in the wild now. Love to use it in fall arrangements. Guess that was really off the subject.

I just love that one Glory.
