I wish I could have caught a picture late last night, but was too tired after mowing 3 acres and weedeating. This one is really showy in the late evening and smells great too. I don't know the name of the lily that is in with it.

Don't we wish there was a peach colored datura. I had forgotten how big this particular Datura can get. I'm going to have to do some trimming before it chokes other things out.
Beautiful Brugie!!! I just love your yard.
lovely brugie, and the lilly next to it sure makes for a nice color scheme....
love your plants, you can tell that you spend a lot of time with them.
Actually Pebble, I don't spend that much time out there. Just watering and fertilizng so far. Haven't done much deadheading yet. I need to get started, but it isn't a priority with me. How is your Justicia doing?
S.
Has anyone heard from Tonny lately? I haven't seen him post for a while.
How do you know about my justicia? It is doing great, and I am getting ready to put it outside in a bigger pot, the leaves are big, nice dark green leaves. I have not fertilized it yet...I will put it outside when I come back from san francisco.

Renee, the gal who sent it to you, is my best friend. Will talk to you sometime in an email. Be sure you don't give it too much sun for a few days. It might wilt anyway, mine always do.
how funny......shall I just put it out now? it is 62 degrees and overcast and raining....
Sure....it will be fine.
It looks GREAT! Is that like a tropical garden?Love the color on the daylily for contrast to the dat!
I wanted it to look tropical CC, but my cannas aren't growing very fast and my banana is still only about 15 inches tall. Maybe by August it will look like I wanted it to. Wish I knew the name of the Daylily, but when things got moved to their new homes, the tags didn't arrive at the same time. :-)
Shirley, you've got such pretty flowers. Love that peach Daylily.
Thanks Terry. It is a pretty one and the blooms are so nice and big. It was just an accident that the two plants worked in together.
What a lovely garden area and so pretty to look at. I like the big white flowers of the W. Regal and I wished they stayed longer. In the evening they are at their prettiest. The peach lilies are also very pretty. In my zone we can't grow some of them because I have read that most need to be grown in 8 or lower.
Well, that is no fair. Guess you will have to move North. Next door to me would be good. :-)
Brugie, try running this picture in plant identification forum and perhaps someone will name the daylily...
Might be easier to take a picture of the lily and just post it. Thanks, didn't even think of it.

I had some Datura seeds that starts out a beige/peach color and sometimes it last for two days...the second day it's a single yellow type. I think I gave the seeds to Roz maybe she still has them. I believe I have the packet marked "Single Yellow Datura." I'm not sure If I had written the bot. name on them or not....Rich Sanders found out the proper name for me.
That sounds like a pretty one. I've just recently become interested in datura again. Used to raise them, but found they took too much room. Now that I've downsized my flower beds, I'm finding just enough room to grow a few. They look so nice in the beds in the evening and early morning. The MM stayed open past noon today and in our heat, that was pretty good. I'll check with Roz to see if she still has them. Thanks.
