on a pink, fuzzy, this is a light pink, very prolific bloomer.
seed pod game #2
Arlene . . I am back online. I had other problems besides the virus. Southwestern Bell merged with Yahoo and it caused all sorts of problems from me. Couldn't send or receive email.
Wanted to let you know that this is a really pretty one and a lot of blooms makes it a great one.
BrugNanny, glad you are back! this is the pink that i sent you cuttings of, labeled pretty pink. it is actually about the same shade of pink as shirley's peach (?), but the ribs on this one aren't so yellow. did you see the seed pod?
Arlene, so that long thing in the front right is the beautiful huge seed pod? How many seeds would be in such a pod? Which brug did you fertilize this with???
thanks
kell, critters did it. i have tried to pollinate in a while, it wasn't taking!!! out of a couple hundred blooms i've had 2 seed pods set, by critters. this is next to shredded white (i wouldn't be that lucky though), and basically other pinks blooming when this pod set back in April. you are welcome to seeds when they are ready if you'd like some. (i have way too many brugs and seedlings already!). it's a lot of fun waiting for them to bloom the first time.
Thanks Arlene, you are so sweet. I think that would be exciting. I can feel it now, a shredded double pink in the making!!
Cala,
Speaking of Shredded White were you able to set seeds on the Shredded White? I have tried and tried but no luck.
Can a creature get AT the pollen of a shredded white?
So Glory, are you not going to roundup?
kell,
No I'm going to pass on this roundup....It was a very busy spring for me Florida, Australia then San Diego....I'm to old for anymore excitement. LOL
CC,
If I can get my camera to work I'll try and get a picture of the inners of the Shredded White. I pollinated quite a few but nothing took.
