Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Hello farmers. We had a hot one here yesterday, it was 97 at my house and 102 up the road where I have my horse being trained. That is hot enough for me. Today is supposed to be in the mid 80's. Last night we had thunderstorms but just a few sprinkles of rain. I haven't heard of any fires nearby or seen any smoke. This evening I'll go back up to the trainer's and ride Patch again. He is doing quite well and I will be bringing him home in a few days. He will have shoes on when he comes home. This morning I have been watering the vegie garden and weeding. Good news, the grape that appeared to be dead has one bunch of leaves. I wonder what it's problem is?? It is several weeks behind the others. I need to hang out some more laundry and get Breezy out for a ride before it gets any hotter. Everyone have a great day, count your blessings.
