To Snowhermit - my yellow

Duncan, BC(Zone 8a)

I haven't noticed that it changes color at all with age. These are bloom #2 and #3 which opened a LOT quicker than bloom #1. I'm attributing that to the hotter days now.

I'm not snow but I don't see jagged leaves. Charles Grimaldi I think.
AND I see your're using cedar feet. LOL

Another nice yellow. Hope my CG looks like this.

Mary, mine has serrated leaves and as the flower gets a few days old it got darker and turned orangy. I don't think it's the same as yours but thanks for posting your picture.Every bit of info helps.

Liz those are 1/2 bricks. What's with cedar feet?
Hmmm last time I posted a picture of this plant I thought the concensus was Dr. S. Oh well, I really don't care except for trading purposes. There are only a few dips in the leaves, definitely not serrated as I would imagine serrated to be.

poppytree, the Dr Suess has serrated leaves and the Charles Grimaldi has smooth edged leaves. If you have the CG be thankful as some of us that thought we had the CG found that we actually had Dr Suess.Confusing isn't it? LOL

poppytree, that fits the description of jamaican yellow. JY is supposed to be one of the very few yellow brugs that does not turn gold. i believe CG goes gold as well. it is really hard to ID brugs from pics as the flowers can change according to time of the year, time of day, growing conditions, etc. i have blooms on the same plants now that are much smaller than the normal flowers on the plants at the same time! i had two IDed from pics last year that were IDed wrong.

looking at the flower above, it does look like JY. and there's more to trading than just getting a name too. yes, I don't want 20 Dr Seuss again, but a picture says a thousand words.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

TIG, this is why I never gave you one of mine, LOL!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

you know, you really ought to bring me one!! I never asked cause I felt greedy, but now that the apparent offer is on the table.....

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

But - I am convinced that it is a Dr S. and you said you didn't want any more!! You know you are welcome to anything I have!! BTW - since I posted that Isabella bloom - I don't have a sign of any other blooms anywhere!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

doesn't that figure?? I could grow one of your yellows next to my known DR S and we'd know for sure??

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

LOL - Ok, should I bring it to the R-Up or wait til we have less confussion??

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

whichever! I doubt I'm going to have much use of a car, Jess is moving back home this week :) but you could come down here and give me more advice on what to do now!

Mary, I think it's probably CG. It should turn colour as it ages. Tendrils are too long for JY and the shape isn't quite right. JMHO
