This is an aurea. First time blooming for me and it is a beauty. Color is orange sherbet on the edge with cream to yellow in throat and on outside of tube. Has a very large flower. This lovely brug flowers early, grows fast and roots easily.
Blooming B. auarea Loreley
Very pretty. Something like Jean Pasco, but more orange. I like it.
it is a beauty. everytime i say no more, i see more. gonna look for something to trade you!!!
Loreley seems to have a larger flower and the color is more striking. Jean Pasco never has that clear distinction between the orange and cream/yellow. IMHO JP is a nice flower but Loreley makes you turn your head and look twice
OH NO - another for my list. Going broke here~~
Gorgeous!
That is a beauty!
It's a beauty.
Flowers early, grows fast and roots easily. Sounds like a dream come true with my short growing season.
I guess I better start making a list of must haves and then hope you all decide you want to give your babies a better life in California and send me one of everything........... LOL
Barbara, its not Loreley!. Loreley has very long corolla tips and the flower shape is that of an of aurea - candida mix. Your hybrid seems to have suav. influence.
Barb,
I found this one and it looks more like an Aurea Hybrid.

Gloria and Monika thank you. That is very interesting, since I bought the plant from LBJ!! I will contact her.
Barbara, i like yours better than the "real" one. wonder what it is.
Wow beautiful! I am going to add it to my list..
I'm with Arlene, I still love the flower no matter what it is but it sure would be good to know the name.
I wrote LBJ and ask for the name. Will let you know.
LBJ probably won't know either. I like yours' better than the "real" one.
